Terms and Conditions of Service for Hizenva Freelance Marketplace

Welcome to Hizenva, a platform connecting talented freelancers with employers seeking their expertise. By accessing or using Hizenva’s website, mobile application, or any other services provided by Hizenva (collectively, the “Platform”), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms”). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Platform.

1. Definitions

  • “Platform” refers to the website, mobile application, and services provided by Hizenva.
  • “Employer” refers to individuals or entities seeking services from freelancers on the Platform.
  • “Freelancer” refers to individuals offering services on the Platform.
  • “Pro-freelancer” refers to freelancers who have subscribed to the Pro membership plan on the Platform.
  • “Project” refers to the task or job posted by an employer on the Platform.
  • “Service Fee” refers to the fee charged by Hizenva for using its Platform and services.
  • “Completion Fee” refers to the fee charged upon successful completion of a project.

2. Account Registration

  • To use the Platform, users must register an account. By registering, users agree to provide accurate and complete information.
  • Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their account credentials and are liable for any activity occurring under their account.

3. Freelancer Membership

  • Freelancers may choose to subscribe to the Pro membership plan for enhanced features and benefits.
  • Pro-freelancers in Ghana are required to pay a membership fee of GH₵100 to access advanced features, including the ability to bid on projects.
  • Both regular and Pro-freelancers are subject to a 20% Completion Fee upon successful project completion.

4. Project Posting and Bidding

  • Employers may post projects on the Platform, providing detailed descriptions and requirements.
  • Freelancers, both regular and Pro, can bid on projects matching their skills and expertise.
  • Pro-freelancers have access to advanced bidding options and features.

5. Service Fees

  • Hizenva charges a Service Fee for the use of its Platform, which is deducted from the project’s total cost.
  • The Service Fee is calculated as a percentage of the project’s total value and is disclosed to both employers and freelancers before project commencement.

6. Project Completion and Payments

  • Employers are required to deposit funds before the project starts.
  • Upon successful completion of a project, employers must approve the work before funds are released to freelancers.
  • Hizenva will deduct the applicable Completion Fee from the freelancer’s earnings.

7. Dispute Resolution

  • In the event of a dispute between an employer and a freelancer, Hizenva may intervene to facilitate resolution.
  • Users agree to cooperate in good faith to resolve disputes promptly and amicably.

8. User Conduct

  • Users agree not to engage in any activities that violate these Terms or infringe upon the rights of others.
  • Hizenva reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to be in violation of these Terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • Hizenva shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or expenses arising from the use of the Platform.
  • Users agree to indemnify and hold Hizenva harmless from any claims or liabilities arising out of their use of the Platform.

10. Amendments to Terms

  • Hizenva reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time without prior notice.
  • Users are encouraged to review the Terms periodically for any changes.

By accessing or using the Hizenva Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.
